Why I DO This

I came into agriculture from the outside — a business background, not a farming one. What struck me first wasn't just the odor complaints. It was watching an industry get squeezed from every direction: rising costs, shrinking margins, and a growing pile of regulation that too often punishes farms instead of helping them.

I didn't want to build another rule. I wanted to build a way in — something that lets farms do more of what they're already doing, without a fight.

That's the whole idea behind OSDS™. Not legislation pushed down from above, telling farms what they can't do. A tool that opens a door — so a farm that's been turned away from FPR income because of odor complaints can take it back. So a farmer facing neighbors and regulators doesn't have to choose between doing right by his land and doing right by his bottom line.

I've spent enough time around farms to know something most people outside this industry don't: farmers never have an easy day. And they show up anyway — on faith, more than anything else. Regardless of what today brings, they're already thinking about tomorrow.

I walked away from a lot to build this. Not because I had it all figured out, but because I believed farms deserved better than more restriction. If this business does what I think it can, it's not because I invented something clever. It's because I finally built something that helps change the way farms are viewed.
